Luke Hawkins - head chef
Our head chef Luke first got behind the pass when he joined The Pony & Trap in 2010, where he trained with Josh. He then moved to Hanham before returning to Bristol where he joined Source Cafe. Luke rejoined The Pony & Trap in 2015 as senior sous chef. With all that experience under his belt, Luke is now the head chef here at The Kenny... and we couldn’t be happier.
Josh Eggleton - director
Chef-Patron of The Pony & Trap, founder of fish and chip place Salt & Malt and a key member of the Eat Drink Bristol Fashion movement, Josh won a Michelin Star in 2011, making him one of the youngest chefs in the UK to claim this prestigious accolade. Known for his contemporary British cuisine, Josh has built a reputation for his ethos of sustainability and seasonality. Catch Josh on Channel 4 in The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes. Episode 1 of 4 airs Wednesday 12th June at 9pm.
Guy Newell - director
Former managing director of the Butcombe Brewery, Guy has run hotels in Iran, started the UK’s first drinks wholesaler and was the first person in the UK to offer an extensive selection of guest ales at his first ever pub in Dorset, so it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about great beer and great hospitality.
